Why we recommend it

For many mid-sized companies, Langdock is the pragmatic way to roll out AI broadly: one contract, many models, with the application and most models hosted in the EU. Agents connected to SharePoint, Confluence or Google Drive answer questions with sources, and workflows automate recurring processes. The main limitation: not every model runs in the EU, and the platform does not do the real work for you, which is cleaning up knowledge sources and maintaining agents.

What it does

  • Chat with more than 40 models from different providers, selectable per request.
  • Agents with their own instructions, knowledge files and connections to SharePoint, Confluence, Google Drive and other sources.
  • Workflows with triggers, AI steps and actions; a Starter package with 2,500 runs per month is included.
  • Governance module: admins review, flag or disable agents and define compliance rules that are checked automatically on every new version.
  • API for your own applications, plus an Outlook add-in and a desktop app.

Data protection and law

  • The multi-tenant version runs on Microsoft Azure on servers in the EU; most models are configurable to be hosted in the EU.H
  • According to the vendor, customer data is never used to train or improve models; models are stateless.H
  • A data processing agreement (Data Protection Addendum) is available in the trust centre; sub-processors are listed in the privacy policy.H
  • ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II audit.H
  • Admins set chat retention (7, 30 or 90 days, or unlimited). Single-tenant, own-cloud and on-premise deployments are only available from 2,000 or 5,000 seats.H
  • Admin usage analytics and stored chat histories can allow conclusions about individual behaviour and performance; in Germany the works council therefore has co-determination rights under Section 87(1) No. 6 BetrVG.R

Limits

  • Not all models run in the EU; you have to check the model list yourself and block models where needed.
  • Agents are only as good as the connected sources; outdated SharePoint folders lead to wrong answers.
  • Workflows cover simple to medium-complexity processes; for many systems and complex logic, specialised automation tools remain stronger, and the Business package costs an extra €449 per month or more.
